Help, However some such as the Police Union have recently become corrupt and should have their powers limited

 @vacheeseheadanswered…3yrs3Y

Depends on the situation, currently labor unions I beleive have gained too much power against employers, but in times of economic slowdowns/depressions, they should come to the defense of their members.

In your opinion, is it better to negotiate as an individual or as part of a larger group, like a union, when seeking better pay or fair treatment at work?

 @6HDD83R from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Permanently and irrevocably ban all leftist and anti-Zionist and/or anti-Semitic labor organizations in all its forms

 @92JXK3J from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Theoretically they're supposed to help us. But they are corrupt right now, in my opinion. Other than that, I am not well-versed in this subject to give a real opinion on unions.

Help but let the worker decide if they want to join and have oversight over how they interact with politicians.

 @4ZTD62Kanswered…4yrs4Y

Labor unions are helpful, but I don't think you should have to be part of a union to organize your workplace.

 @748XY8Manswered…3yrs3Y

Their purpose is for the advancement of workers' rights, and for that I support them. Whether or not they help or hurt the economy is irrelevant

 @kgtiberius from Wisconsin  answered…4yrs4Y

Hurt. Historically, unions had done some good but have recently become corrupt and should have their powers limited. I support some private unions but am strongly against public unions.

Hurt, Get rid of all unions and let everyone be their own advocates and have a level playing field for all people

 @7W3SBDC from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

This question is broad. Public unions tend to hurt. Private unions tend to help.

 @78S5M87 from Wisconsin  answered…4yrs4Y

Get rid of all unions and let everyone be their own advocates and have a level playing field for all people. People speak louder then cooperations.

Regardless of whether or not they help the economy, they help people, and this is what is important.

 @owenfuckem from Pennsylvania  answered…4yrs4Y

Help, but only when they're actually completely worker-controlled, otherwise they provide a cover for corporate interests.

 @8QPG4TW from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @LangworthyUS9th from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

No public unions people that get paid by taxpayers should be able to get fired for underperfoming. Private unions like UAW IBEW ect are good but should not be compulsory to join.

 @8KY7QTD from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @eleemoore from Kentucky  answered…4yrs4Y

It is within the right of all non-government employees to join a union. It doesn’t matter whether or not they help the economy.

  @buday4vancouver from Washington  answered…4yrs4Y

A local Guild can be useful in privately establishing a min training wage, setting up apprenticeships and safety agreements. However massive national unions just basically do what nasty corporations do and keep merging and care little for the worker.

 @8PLZWQSanswered…4yrs4Y

 @TogetherinSoli1 from GU  answered…4yrs4Y

Hurt in some areas, and help in others, but private unions ultimately help

  @8QYZ4SB from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

Not necessarily the economy overall, but they ensure benefits and fair wages for the working class.

 @8RB2K9D from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8S4VH5F from Kansas  answered…4yrs4Y

You have the right to unionize, but unions should really have less power.

I don't believe it affects the economy, but it does help ensure workers have proper pay, benefits, and rights.

 @8XNT9ZQ from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

100 years ago labor unions helped many workers, now the unions are robbing their members of wages, the administrators get rich, and almost nothing is done to benefit the workers but they support corrupt politicians.

 @8XQCD4Q from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

Regardless, unions protect and increase the liberty of their members, who are the working class backbone of this nation.

 @8Y96CVP from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

I believe they do hurt and take a toll in the economy, but their ability to make political donations should be banned.

 @8Z4TXWG from Wisconsin  answered…3yrs3Y

depends on the people in the union and who is running it, some are good some are not.

 @8ZL6BBD from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

Help, but they should only serve their roles and ensure a healthy work environment.

 @93BDMP6 from California  answered…2yrs2Y

My opinion doesn't matter, because the government should not pass laws favoring one side or the other

 @939NWVG from Massachusetts  answered…2yrs2Y

Help, but they exist to protect workers. Their impact on the economy is irrelevant.
